  • I rang Trading Standards first thing this morning. They advised that I was in the clear regarding my rights, and told me to ring both the trader and finance company to cancel, and send cancellation in writing, which I've done.
To be honest, the trader was very reasonable about it and cancelled straight away. I'm just waiting for the return of my deposit.

    Fingers burnt and lesson learnt.

Thanks to all who replied, it's very much appreciated.
