    Forget about Windows 8. You're lucky enough for XP to work. :)

    Test the HDD and retrieve any important data with this caddy in conjunction with this video.

    If the HDD is still working, you can carry out a repair or a clean install with the DELL Windows XP recovery disc, after reinstalling a/the HDD in to the machine.

    New HDDs here
