Would you really trust a retailer that uses this description of goods....Mint - Working phone in as new/mint condition. Complete with original box and accessories as sold new.
I thought only idiots on ebay used that..... NOT a retailer :rotfl:Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Thanks for all the replies, they store tried and new battery and charger and the phone now works, although because it hadn't worked since he bought it he bought another in the week nearer where he was working.
We would have rang CEX and informed them last saturday that it didn't work but can't find a phone number anywhere for them only contact by email or facebook.
He will be getting in contact with head office on monday via email about the shoddy training the staff receive regarding refunds although thats probabley how they wan't them to be so they never give refunds.

If you actually ring that number though, it says "hello and thank you for calling sex" (oh yes, that's not a typo)
It then goes on to explain that their customer service is now email only. It's been this way for several years now. No stores are contactable by phone unless you mange, by some miracle, to get hold of the direct dial number which only staff are supposed to have. Their email service is atrocious at best too, often failing to reply.0 -
If you get problems with a phone again and have had it for a while where taking it back to the retailer could be time consuming to sort out the easiest thing might be to do what I've done. Last 2 phones I've had have had problems charging. I just bought a spare battery and a battery charger that plugs into a normal socket. Just charge the spare and swap them over when the others low on charge and charge that one up. You can get a spare battery and charger for it probably for less than £7 on eBay.0
