Where's the best place to get these from? I'm trying cash converters today as they always seem to have some, but Ebay isnt really that cheap for pedals, and i never see any on Freecycle/car boots, and I dont really want to use the internet to buy them, i prefer going to junk shops or whatever...anyone got any recommendations for something special that can replace my nasty old zoom pedal? I'm looking to get single pedals this time, chorus flanger etc so any recommendations will be really helpful. cheers!
(as long as it'c cheap!! ie not over 30 quid :-s)

Guitar and music shops often have second hand pedals too. The best thing to do is go try some out and see what you like. Also something I've been playing with recently is using Native Instruments Guitar Rig on my Mac, that's pretty cool.0

I buy them from ebay.
Some go for silly high prices but I always bid low. I only win 1 in 20 auctions but I do pick up the occasional bargain.
I bought a Flanger for £6 recently.
I will be reselling the ones I don’t want on ebay and I expect to make a profit.0 -
The other option is to buy cheap new pedals. Or at least try a whole bunch of them to see if there's anything you like. The Behringer pedals are dirt cheap, so much so I can't believe there any good but you never know. The Danelectro an Marshall pedals are also quite cheap and some com in under £30.0

Some of the Danelectro stuff's pretty good actually.0

Aye the Behringer stuff is great but its just plastic so be careful.
I have quite a bit of their stuff inc the X-Vamp and the V-ampire lx1200 head.
Great sounding.
Depends on the sounds you wanna create tho.
Keep an eye in the local ad papers too for folks selling stuff off:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0 -
Do most of you prefer the single pedals, or do you use multieffects too? I've heard Boss and electro harmonix are good, iyo what are the best makes to go for?Fr. I mainly use a Boss GS10 multieffects unit along with a Boss OD1 overdrive. I do have some additional pedals - a Pearl analog delay, a Boss chorus, a Carlsbro wah. I just find the multieffects saves a lot of bother. I also have a Behringer Bass Vamp which has electric guitar settings but I'd describe those as quite poor - I got it for Bass and Electro Acoustic guitar.
The latest Zoom multi effects units seem to be quiet well thought of.0 -
Yes, I'm surprised about the "nasty old zoom" bit - even one from a few years back sounded at least as good as the separate pedals it replaced.0

I've always got Boss pedals - they're virtually indestructable

All mine were 2nd hand from ebay - you can get some great bargains if you are patient and find the right one, but some pedals (like delays and wahs) will always be more expensive (or so I found). This is not a signature...0 -
I run the Behringer V-Ampire LX1200h through 2 Fender Combos and use the FCB1010 pedal board to control it all.
125 different sounds, I use aboot 4!
but it has the tuner, wah, volume pedal all in the board so its great for a 1 guitar band and theres no leads and PSUs all over the place.:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0
