Hi,
Very foolishly, I thought this would be easy - download from AVG site and sorted - no chance:mad:
Whichever site I use on the Samsung Galaxy, it keeps defaulting to the Google Play website. I've now acquired a G-Mail account that I don't really want in order to sign up, but when I try downloading AVG (for Android), it keeps coming up with an error message that I have no devices, and it keeps saying "You haven't accessed the Google Play Store app (the white shopping bag app icon) on your device with this email account. "
Can anyone who has successfully loaded AVG onto a Galaxy please point me in the direction of an idiots guide before I lose what little is left of my hair
Many thanks.

If you go to Settings (from the main screen, not Google Play), then "Accounts & Sync" is your Gmail account listed there? If it isn't, add it in.
Just for info, I've uninstalled AVG from my Galaxy S2 phone as it was munching the battery. I've put Avast on instead which does the same thing and hasn't affected battery use.0 -
The easier method is download it from samsung apps as its free there for the professional version0
