money to invest £30k

Direct question as to where best to put some £30K.

Will be looking into other investements but want a god isa for me and our lass that we can transfer a little money over from previous isa but only £1000 between us really.

Interested in accounts taht are tracking base rate as there's only one way theyre going!!

Want easy access also. We have a b and b esavings account. Was looking at northern rock isa but there may be better no as we havn't opened isa each this year yet?

Need to change my banking current account also from hsbc to halifax???? Although I am hoping that hsbc come up with a new account soon there about the only ones that havn't!!

any help would be lovely!

    You can only put £7000 each into an MAXI ISA. The remainder would then typically involve unit trusts/oeics/sicavs and Investment Trusts.

    If you dont mean invest but save, then the site has a list of current interest rates you can take a look at. Take a look at that.
