Broken Headphones and no receipt...

Hello Everyone.
I recently bought a pair of JVC HA-S4X from Tesco, about 4 months ago. I assumed that the headphones would last, so stupidly, I have threw away receipt and the box was the cut up kind so that's gone
My question, Is it possible for me to get an exchange/refund without the receipt?
P.S I paid with my debit card, if that's any help.
Cheers for your time.

I took a microwave back to Argos and all i had was the bank statement from months earlier and they never batted an eyelid, just gave me a new one. So i suppose Tesco will be the same.
I was in B&M during the week and they had headphones which were suitable for Skype and were only £3, so if you're looking for something cheap.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Under SOGA all you need is proof of purchase which can be a receipt, card statement etc.
a copy of your card statement should suffice as the store can then check their system for a transaction for that amount on that day that included those headphones

Right OK Thank you.
I have found the date of purchase on my statement which I will use to show Tesco. Also because I work for the company, I am pretty confident that I used my clubcard/discount card with my transaction. would that be any extra help?

I would say most big chains are flexible.
Once, i went into Boots in London with a faulty flash for a camera i had bought in Belfast without a receipt.
They didn't have the same one in stock and gave me a dearer and better one as a replacement.:D
And this was 30 years ago.0 -
As you work for the company, don't you know anyone who is familiar with the returns policy?0
