Ummm....
Interesting food for thought.
(I can see that, with social beings. It's also both for me (the MS and the thread/people - and perhaps written 'conversation' is sometimes easier for me. Also keep amending what I've 'said' (written).)0 -
Savvybuyer wrote: »I do get the 'saying the opposite of what you mean sometimes'. But, no, my sentence - the one you've highlighted - is meant sincerely. It's not an 'opposite to what I mean' intention. Nonetheless, it's slightly mischievous, you and me both a little mischievous here, but I'm compliant with the rules!
My sentence is a bit humorous. It seriously meant but in a bit of a joking way at the same time if that's possible. I'm sure nothing will happen on reaching 10,000 (again no irony intended). Irony or ironic whatever, I can't be bothered to sort out the pedantry between those two words at the moment, sometimes great memory but also sometimes need to go away, look something up again and then reach a considered decision.:D
Again, thanks button not there, but a WONDERFUL POST ( i AM SURE IT WILL RETURN, AND A THANKS WILL BE THERE sAVVY!) (Please ignore the caps, i was an accident, but I really dont want to re-type that as it will loose the honest feeling that was there!)“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Of course it's Easter Sunday today.
Happy Easter everyone!!!....
(Not said before, as I felt Friday/Thursday was too early a bit.)
The only day when the shops have to shut by law. Gives us time to relax and talk (but also to get some of my lists etc. sorted out better!)
In fact, yesterday (Saturday), I did nothing much - sometimes I need a relaxation/day off, like everyone. Sure I'll be forgiven if I say I didn't even go out, to check M for the cling film - and I'm sure you'll forgive that and this being the reason for my absence.0 -

you're right savvy, everyone does deserve a day off. I went shopping today and it felt like Christmas Eve :eek: so busy! I'll be glad to have a day off0 -

Oh, all forgiven (regarding the caps). You see, I could see the " i AM SURE", that "i" was in small letters so it was obvious it was simply your caps lock on the wrong way and that you were not shouting! Just a little detail that I picked out immediately!! (And the small 's' in "sAVVY".) I often find my caps lock on wrongly, and it's, well, not so much as annoying, as just a little bit what I don't want. Of course, if I end up typing it in with the wrong case, I always go back and correct it (sometimes several times if I type it out again and it still comes out the wrong cases).0 -
Anyway Savvy, I was thinking about buying some clingfilm, do you think I should........................;)“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I knew it would be heaving. I do dislike the busy times - never like having to shop on Saturday daytimes. (Cease going altogether sometimes, esp. in the run up to Christmas - which begins in October every year.) I normally go late (when no-one's there) - but miss the items now OOS. Apologies to those with younger children, but I do feel they should ban kids from supermarkets entirely! Just a struggle getting around a store with so many people in it. (And they all stop chatting in the middle of the aisle. Move out the way!! I think.) Does annoy me - MOVE!! 'Normal' people are so crazy! Sometimes the loading/unloading in stores after midnight does create a setup where you have to take a different route. But not nearly as problematic sometimes as people moving around!0
