Some regulars may remember that the refurbished PS3 I bought from GAME failed.

I got a refund on that and bought a new PS3 (only 12GB but we don't need the memory) on offer at £159 from Argos with a free extra controller (worth £47 apparently).

DS2 set it up and the HDMI-4 cable I had bought through amazon for only £4 was causing the screen to flicker, so I had to shell out £19 (well £14 with HH voucher) at Tesco. Don't know whether I can get a refund on the cable, or if it is worth the bother.

Anyone know why a cable would work with the slim PS3 but not the new super slip ones?

Should have worked with both if worked with one.

I've never paid more than £2 for a hdmi cable and never had any problems. Although I did buy one in currys for £25 but took that back for a refund.

The Isle of Wight is beautiful and if you are looking there try to get Ventnor or Shanklin. It has its own micro climate (or something like that ) an its usually the warmest place. Been several times and weather always been good.

We are going to Malta in three weeks time and its only just starting to warm up there. Summer is very late this year on the continent :(

What part of Malta are you going to?
