    Evening all

Sorry I don't usually do daft questions but need help as lappy broken and can't use mys on tablet as it jumps around.

Decided to treat myself to finest meal deal for easter. Know to get the monte red with it. I also need some relatively high vol (12 to 14 %) red wine. Ideally something that gives a nice pp as not for me but buys me a lot of help with diy and gardening:D

Have plenty of finest vouchers but is there a jacobs creek or hardys red giving a nice pp that I could get. Multiple shops with fillers not a problem.
Ideally buy 4 reds in a shop with a couple of minis for maximum pp along with fillers. Of course the more different bottles of red the less fillers needed.
Have pp from last shop plus email from t cs telling me to go into store for refund of overcharge. No hh until monday though unless I do deliveries but defeats the purpose if paying delivery charge. Free click and collect could work if order for saturday.

    I digress.
    Suggestions of reds grately received.

Hi Vanilla - sorry skipping as I have just iced buns for Easter egg hunt this am (fell asleep on couch and just woke up will teach me not to procrastinate during the day :rotfl:), so off to bed once I have caught up. But saw your post - the Finest Chianti came back with a good pp but can't remember fully how much and no time to go back - but I did do 3 shop posts showing results about teatime on 27th if you want to zip back to be precise (between 5 and 6pm I think). Not many stores have the Monte so you are right to have back up lists - good pp on little bottles but haven't seen anyone have any luck in finding finest mini bottles. Anyhow HTH

I think they have pulled the Monte D'abrusso meal deal .... couldn't find any in either of 2 stores I visited - just suspicious out of stock labels..... But got a good pp on Chianti Finest and Chardonnay and small amount on bread. Have chopped posts so just relevant stuff. Hope this helps .......

Actually you only get approx £1 per bottle pp (she put through one of my non comparing meal deal reds through as Chianti - so I thought this pp amount was for 2 bottles but for 3 on closer inspection). You will also be able to use £2 finest for every 2, results above suggest you might get away with 2 x £2 finest for every 3 bottles (?) and then 25%. (What do you think CoT? SA allowing of course). Do not be tempted by the meal deal red substitute (see red above) if Monte not available. Meal deals yummy as CoT suggested.

Well I didn't know which wines gave me my nice pp on first shop in other store so did test shop with diff wines. I erroneously thought the meal deal substitute red gave me my pp from shop - I now know it was the chianti, good deal on Fiano too. All except one multi buy label removed in stores - this was Nero D'avolo which compared the same but if SEL left up in your store it was 2 for £10 so gave me £8 dd.

Mr T pulled most multibuy offers before 25% started except for some mini's. I imagine those that have been left may have been spotted and exploited by Elite. But depending on your store you may get lucky - I got Nero D'avolo reds - SEL 2 for £10 but charded £4 over - so DD applied. So you may get lucky.........

  • Morning all.

Been up an hour already :D

Another big dump of snow in the night despite the weather forecast saying it was all due to melt!

Trying to upgrade my son's PC to Win8 but can't get into the BIOS
  • :D Might actually work out OK - guess who forgot all the Easter eggs for the Easter egg hunt? :D

Kids would probably accept they can't go on a hunt with a foot of snow in the garden?

    Morning all :)

Been snowing here for the last couple of hours. So serene walking through and watching the flakes make the way downwards accompanied by birdsong :)
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
