Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
sorry but a post offering vouchers has had to be removed.0 -
TM, Blight aside, does growing your own main crop work out cheaper than buying at 40p ish per kg, do you know? If so is it significantly so? We have six children (so get through a lot of potatoes) and not a particularly large garden so it would have to really save money to be worth us doing it. I have often wondered about it but never been sure.
Thank you x
After throwing out half of the last few bags i've bought, I rarely use "fresh" potatoes.
Mash - A's S/P instant 20p - OK with a bit of milk/butter and salt/pepper.
Chips - whatever frozen are on offer.
Roast- A's S/P tinned 15p - drained, splash of oil/herbs.0 -

Anyone else feeling nostalgic about the Hotel Chocolat goodies we enjoyed this time last year? Free Malteser bunnies are all very well, but the freebies from last Easter were awesome.
Funnily enough, they don't seem to be running a similar competition this year :)0 -

It's just the jobsworths
Redfox is doing her job, and a fab one at that.
