I must be as thick as you then FloFlo. ;) Too early on a Saturday morning for this. My brother lives in Finland, has winter tyres and chains and things still come to a standstill when weather deteriorates. We cannot cater for occasional weather in the UK.

Anyway, FloFlo you are not thick just thinking the same as most of us. :)

So you have not actually driven on winter tyres yourself? :D

Perhaps you could ask your brother what is the difference between driving on normal & winter tyres in the snow?
  • And of course we can cater for occasional weather ie snow - which comes around like clockwork most winters.

It costs me maybe £20 to change my tyres twice a year.

    Hardly crippling.

Snow halts Eurostar trains, shuts down Frankfurt airport

Lingering snow continued to cause problems across Sweden on Thursday, the day after a fierce winter storm brought the capital and other parts of the country to a virtual standstill.

Drivers stuck in 120-mile long traffic jam in Russia
Trucks have been stuck for days in sub-zero temperatures on a road linking between the Russian capital Moscow and St Petersburg after heavy snowfall.

I remember my two going off skiing with their school for the first time. I was worried sick and they had the time of their lives and came back with lots of stories of their adventures.

They still laugh about the teacher falling out the ski lift:eek:

TM - she is up for anything so I dread to think what antics they will get up to. They had a lunchtime meeting during the week and the only thing she could remember was that there are boys and girls rooms on each floor of the hotel and they are not allowed in each others rooms. She was that was gross and she would never do that - hope that attitude continues for a long time :rotfl:

Not sure why I am quoting you other that to say we prefer not to create arguments on here. :)
Smile :) and hopefully the world will smile back
