Eurostar has suspended train service after being forced to close sections of its high-speed line due to “severe weather conditions” in northern France and Belgium. Meanwhile, Frankfurt Airport, the third busiest airport in Europe, has been forced to shut down because of heavy snow.

Lingering snow continued to cause problems across Sweden on Thursday, the day after a fierce winter storm brought the capital and other parts of the country to a virtual standstill.
Drivers stuck in 120-mile long traffic jam in Russia
Trucks have been stuck for days in sub-zero temperatures on a road linking between the Russian capital Moscow and St Petersburg after heavy snowfall.
I think the difference is that DURING the heavy snow, in Europe of course they suffer.
But the snow stops after a few hours & lies on the ground.
Then they quickly get back to normal.
Whereas in the UK we don't get back to normal for days.0 -
