    Good morning all.

I think I can honestly say in my whole 44 years of life I have never seen weather so bad as yesterday. We have at least 1 foot of snow, had to abandon both our cars and walk the last half mile home, electric has been off and on for the day and night and probably worst no sky tv so kids are demented. This could be a very long weekend, but at least we are all safe at home with intermittent heat and food to eat out of the freezer in case it goes off.

Hope everyone has a good and safe weekend.

if your kids are young (young enough not to tell you its not cool :rotfl:) give them bed sheets and few pots and wooden spoons and tell them to make a camp and u will do a picnic for lunch and they cna have it in there my 2 love doing this and it give me peace:T

    Morning all

Snowing thick and fast here in the Lincs. Was nothing when I got up with the boys at half 6 but everything covered now. OH headed off to work so another snuggly day planned for me and the little ones.

This country does make me laugh.

    Nobody much prepares for snow.

Most winters it snows & the country grinds to a halt.

In the rest of Europe they prepare properly for it & life goes on as normal.

We've got a place abroad where it snows in winter: so we fit snow tyres every October.

    Like everybody else.

So we stay 'operational' even in the worst of snows (& it snows much worse there every winter than the UK has ever seen).

Winter/ snow tyres don't even add much to the cost of motoring when you factor in that you are only wearing out one set of rubber at a time.

  • Make today your More Than travel ins day!

    x2 per a/c

Gone down to £8.08 but single trip 1 day UK travel ins will cost you about £3.50.

= more money in the T fund

    Thanks SDB.

    I have done 3 x Q and 2 x T, we'll see eh? I got a bit carried away (and THAT'S why I haven't done the bingo).
    :starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:

    Hi,

    Re More Than travel Ins:

    Nope - I don't think Q will let you do 2 a day - I checked yesterday & the T&Cs look bad.

But you CAN do 2 a day with TCB.

Plus it goes confirmed very quickly.

Do you mean you can do 2 every day please.

I'm getting told the last time we had snow as deep as this was 1979 (the year I was born) it's 2 foot at the shallowest and down the side of the house theres a 4ft snow drift, my labrador tried to dig through it but gave up.
Took dd sledging yesterday but oh had to stay at home, his wheelchair has got no chance of getting through.

Hi there :) put him on the sledge and sledge to Tesco s lol. I might walk there and to town as I'm sick of being inside and I was only inside yesterday.
