Absolutely not, Chrome or Firefox are the future, however some websites are designed for IE, but they're thankfully now few and far between.

the 2004 one is the one that will scan at £2 - always knock off the last number, then the 3 numbers before that tell you how much
the coupon will scan for. If its 000 then the SA will have to input the price

worth checking coupons, sometimes you get one printed wrongly and it scans for much more than it should. IIrc a few years ago there was one that was supposed to be 50p but scanned at £5
