Just to tell you about the couple of wombles I picked up tonight - and then got home and discovered one of them rolled out into two separate receipts!! So three wombles, not a couple!

As regards my A shopping, I'm not in the zero womble club for this month. Only one receipt gave anything but it gave £1.37 voucher back!! A were cheapest but not by 10% - it was the comp. vs Morries which did it, although A also weren't 10% cheaper than T.

Thank goodness they bought the McVities Choc. Digestives that have been on offer at M - although the offer price at M less 10% still too expensive for me to have bought them! They also bought on the A multibuy, which has been recognised, meaning it gave back less. The multibuy was also picked up for A on some Pepsi 2L, but compared favourably to M's. Unlike the other receipt I put in just before - where they picked the Coca Cola 2L instead - wrong!! - and resulted in M's much more expensive. This receipt had a £10 bottle of wine on it... but it still gave nothing as it turned out the wine was an own brand exclusive to A.

For interest only as is now doubtless out-of-date (and not the kind of interest that you might be lucky if you get from a bank these days):

(Peeled prawns also in red on the A side - not helped by two other items, non-comparable, pushing down its price.) Ummm... SP Brown Bread still comparing to M's and giving a few pence - even though, like others, M's is Wholemeal Bread not Brown. This only works vs M (and of course whoops for us are cheaper anyway!)

    Why £1.37?

I have 2 cond spends. A £5 off £40 and a £4 off £40. I will buy it with a nice jumper or jacket that doesn't fit and will go back for a refund :D that makes it justifiable

hahhaha, good plan! :D See, this is why i like this thread...i would never have thought of that! :T I've only got some £2 off £20 vouchers tho, they're weekly and i never generally spend that much in one shop anyway, so a bit wasted on me :o

Well i've just contacted CS via the link on the first post. I changed up £30 worth of CC points in the xmas double up, but before i could use them i ended up in hospital for a spell. I had completely forgotten about it until i found the vouchers today. I've explained what happened and asked if they could be reimbursed...fingers and everything else crossed!

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
    Evening.
I'm not staying on too long tonight, don't feel very sociable at the moment. Quite a few things going on in RL that are making me feel so down it's unbelievable, cap that off with the complete and utter loneliness I'm feeling at the minute and it doesn't make for a good situation. I'm not sleeping well, which doesn't help. Not being able to leave the dogs for long is making things worse, as is having to clear up every time I do leave, not to mention the amount of money to replace everything before my annual housing officer visit.
Being given a hard time for deciding that I'm not the best person to look after 'the beast' by so called animal rescuers is really getting to me. At least I haven't just advertised him on scumtree and given him to the first person who said they'll take him, I care where he goes to, I want him to be looked after well, I want him to go to someone who loves him as much as I do:(
I can't talk to the person I usually talk to because she's got her own problems and tried to end it all last week after having a breakdown a few days before:(
Life just isn't fair, those of us who play by the rules get all the carp of the day thrown at us while others 'seem' to get an easy ride. Or maybe they're just like me, they hide everything away, let the world think they're doing fine while underneath they're falling apart , if only someone would notice that little bit of sadness lurking behind the facade they would realise that person needs help.

So after giving a little insight into my carp mental state and potentially bringing the thread down I'm gonna try and get some sleep, I'll probably be vey restless and grind my teeth as usual then wake up in the morning feeling like I've been up all night.
I feel a little better for 'saying' all that so hopefully will sleep a little easier.

    Goodnight

    I agree :D

Thanks, albeit not totally sure about being in agreement when you don't know what the plan is!

I suppose if I have it here though, I'm obviously up to better money-saving than the seeming paying out more money attracted by a fiver, and you're right to agree with me!
