Further to my Avast update (see here), I ran the browser cleanup option and found loads of add-ons. No idea what half of them are/do:
eg:
* SABScan Active X control
* Shockwave Active X control
* Shockwave Flash Object Adobe Flash Player
* Microsoft Silver light
* HTML Document Viewer
* BlogThisToolBar Button Class
*Adobe PDF Link Helper
* Adobe PDF Reader
* XML DOM Document MSXML3
* XML DOM Document 3.0 MSXML3
* XML HTTP MSXML 3
* XML HTTP Request MSXML 3
Safe to disable? What might I lose?

Ironic, but every time Chrome updates it disables Avast's WebRep extension.
SABScan? - does not seem to be related to SABnzbd+. SAVScan perhaps? - that belongs to Norton. I'd lose the BlogThis toolbar and everything to do with Adobe and install PDF-Xchange instead.0 -
Yes I noticed Avast's WebRep shown as 'disabled'. What does it do? Should I enable? (I don't even use Chrome).fenlander_uk wrote: »Ironic, but every time Chrome updates it disables Avast's WebRep extension.
