Hi all, new to site. We are pensioners, and over the years have built up debts of around £39,000. (Easy done). It got to the stage where we were starting to rob peter to pay paul, couldn't sleep, and the debts not coming down. So in the end we contacted one of the debt companies advertised. They sent out an agent who added up our total debt, how much we had coming in every month, and how much we needed to live on, the remainder we give to (as we call them OUR LIFELINE)and they pay our debts. They contacted all our creditors explained the situation and they were going to be acting on our behalf. They negotiate with our creditors, split the money we give them and pay the bills. I was sorry that I hadn't got in touch with them sooner for help. It will take 5 years, and then we are suppossed to be free of debt. This was back in september, so far all is going to plan, sleep better at night, and our standard of living has improved. Cant buy on the never-never again or have any loans again, a small price for peace of mind. I would recommend this course of action to anyone at their wits end.0
