Maybe it's my public school upbringing but i find its always alot easier to manipulate the poor. On a serious note however in more deprived areas people are (and this is a gross generalisation) going to be less internet savvy and more willing to work for less in the hope of making more in the future. One of my 'barriers' is that it is a deprived area, shops are closing right left and centre. It's only basics that seem to survive, food shops, 99p shops and the like.
I think I need an all singing all dancing online idea.No-one locally will have enough money to spend to enable me to get me out of that deprived area.
Not sure what you mean about 'membership sites'?
What do those who do not have alot want?
things as cheap as possible,
money and employment - set up a make money online membership site with a free first month, only charge £3 a month recc and stuff it full of affiliate programs, this alone can make you £2k+ in commission from hostgator if you play it right
they are also likely to be higher cases of people who will be overweight - diet pill trial offers
more likely to smoke - duty free cig affiliates
more likely to look for part time work - web cam modeling affiliate
there are so many possibilites
the people with money want to hold onto it in this climate its the ones who dont have alot which are far easier to target
edit: I didnt even mention pay day loan, debt consolidation or pawn brokers!0 -

Except I do have one idea: invent a system for a car which melts ice before the front wheels reach the ice. Flamethrowers or attaching a dragon to the car's bonnet are both impractical.
Im sure clarkson will be happy to try that one for ya0 -

I read about a bath just like that, that they used in mental health places in the 50's to calm patients down.

I'm lazy, bright and always wanted to work for myself in my spare time.
I spent £50 at an auction in Manchester and have made myself just short of £300 in the 3 weeks I have been buying & selling0 -
Im the opposite, lots of ideas for online businesses, strategy and structure in place but im lazy and ideas come too easily to me that they distract me from my main dream even though I know I would make money with them!!
I know how to create membership sites, blogs with affiliate goodies, write books and sell on amazon (currently taking this one on though), creating video courses, run webinars and so on but........ this is just stuff I know and not specifically the vehicles I need for my area of interest.

I think certain people like Richard Branson and Alan Sugar have that entrepreneurial spirit within them from a young age and get a buzz from buying and selling and making a profit.
I would like to think of myself as more of a marketer than being creative and whilst it might not be ethically the best way to make a living, it does make a financial difference. Try paying the mortgage and bills with great inventions that no one knows about!
It's not the best inventions and products that make the most sales, but the one's which have been marketed correctly.Lao Tzu - "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"
