Gas & Electricity VAT Rate

I'm with Scottish Power and my fixed rate deal ends on 31st March. Scottish Power have offered me another fixed rate deal ending 31st August 2014. I've checked using Martin's Cheap Energy Club & this is the best deal for us. I was just about to click on the Submit button when I scrolled down & saw "All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate of 20%".
I've checked my most recent online bill and the VAT was 5%.
Have I missed something or have Scottish Power made a mistake?

Any early termination fees or other service charges listed as part of a tariff will be charged at 20% VAT. Only the energy itself can be charged at 5% VAT.0
