I think the knitted food stuff would be quite cool for kids.
I started knitting a blue blanket when my sister found out she was pregnant with a boy....hes 3 in october and the blanket is the size of a dwarf hamsters gazebo
Might finish it and give it to him for his 18th birthday

A friend of my mums was knitting these warmers over 20 yrs ago to raise funds for the local hospice.They came in various sizes & colours, all the men usually ordered extra large for themselves but all the women ordered small or medium for the men in their lives!
It was a different style as had no strap/belt thing.Bit more of a snug fit as it looked like two egg cosies attached to a tube.0
