I run my own online business and selling typography wedding invites, pictures etc, I am find it increasing difficult using the package i have (very old editing programme) so looking to update !
Ive looked at photoshop and think that it may be too advanced for me, I am not looking to do graphics, enhance photos etc.....
Can anyone tell me a really easy to use, mac compatible programme, that wont break the bank

Have you seen whether your current package has a newer version.
The problem with skipping versions is that on each update/version that you end up with an old program that works nothing like the new one, and you therefore have to re-learn how you used to do things. If you update regularly then you get smaller changes to get used to, and this makes like easier.
You will probably find if you go for a new package that you're going to have to relearn it all (not necessarily the action, but the way to actually do things). However Photoshop is a pretty decent package, and with such a popular package there are innumerable guides, books (for dummies etc) and just personal videos out there to make learning it easier. Photoshop elements is something that is used in our family, as well as photo impact. However no idea if photo impact works for the Mac. Both are editing suites. However for just simple crop, cut, resizing we use either Xara X (ancient!) or Paint shop Pro 5/7 (as old). Just have little quirks with each and windows 7.
Hopefully someone with a Mac will come along and share specific programs that might suit you.0 -
Might be worth downloading the free trials of the various software available and having a play I would suggest indesign, photoshop and illustrator.
There is a reason why the majority of the industry uses Adobe software, its the industry standard stuff and whilst they all have their learning curve some tricker than others its never been an easier time to learn software than now. There are hundreds of sites and videos on youtube that offer free tutorials.
I have recently learnt how to green screen video in Sony Vegas, all taught by a teenager from Birmingham on youtube.
Have a look at this site http://pixlr.com its pretty much photoshop but they have a user friendly version as well as the advanced version which looks pretty much like photoshop and has very similar features.0 -

Spell Checker for one, judging by the title?
Seriously? That's all you can advise? Not every one uses a spell checker with forums, not everyone can be bothered to use or check spelling even if they do have one. A mistake and you have to post about it, and not even offer any help with it. Such a useful member. May your own failings not be pointed out so bluntly.0 -

Why so serious?
My comment was on topic, you add nothing whatsoever to the conversation. My comment was a little tongue in cheek, get over it.0 -

I was going to correct you on your name but I notice ptangyangkipperbang has already been used.

1. MSE's software told me that the name was already taken.
2. What if I wanted to call myself kipperbangptangyang ? That is not "incorrect" any more than yangptangkipperbang is, it is my choice what name I use.
3. Shouldn't there be a space after "steve" - and shouldn't it have an upper case "S" - AND an upper case "M" ?:D
