JSA(C) Problem

I got made redundant by Jobcentre Plus in February (yeah, irony of ironies I'm posting here). Paid off due to office closure.

Applied for JSA(C) 15th Feb. Got letter 2nd week of March saying claim rejected on the grounds of deficient NI Conts - that my NI conts for 2005/6 haven't been paid by DWP over to Contributions Agency/HMRC. Well they sure took my NI conts off me for that year so why haven't they paid it over to Conts ?

Have phoned HR @ Sheffield every day since 13th March, "they're looking into it", have complained to Customer Services at HR "they're looking into it", have appealed against the decision (no reply) and have sent a letter of complaint to John Hutton Secy of State c/o the Adelphi (no reply).

All I need is a letter showing what NI Conts I paid for that financial year so I can pass it over to the Job Centre - and they can't even provide me with that.

My mate has suggested I take out a small claim summons through the local court to force the issue ... all I'd be claiming for is the JSA they should have paid me over the last 3 months.

Any suggestions ?

Maybe you have already thought of this and dont have them, but your old payslips will have details of the NI that you paid in 2005/06.

Yeah thought of that ... and I wish I'd kept my P60 for that year too. Unfortunately not. They all got tossed out as I got them (we didn't know the office was to be closed down at that time uc).
