Do you not pay Council tax in feb/March??

Ive just checked my online banking and found that my usual payment on the 15th of each month hasnt come out this time. My colleague has just told me that you dont pay council tax in Feb and march, is that right??
My payment has gone out for 15th Feb, but well happy now im 96 quid up!

    Most councils divide the annual bill into 10 payments with Feb/March as non-paying months.

    We pay ours over 10 months. We don't pay any in February or march. - we use these 2 payments on the mortgage :)

    2020 Jan-£40-feb-£18.28.march-£25
    Christmas savings card 2020 £20/£100
    Emergency savings £100/£500

    If you pay monthly by DD yes this is right. You certainly only make 10 payments per annum in our authority and 8 for water. :)

    Last year the option of paying over 12 months was brought in to help you spread the cost

    Do you know why they have charged me for Feb then and not March, or maybe its backdated, Ill ring them tomorrow anyway

    Did you have your first payment last April or did it start in May?

    Ah started paying in around July last year, its probably because I started paying late, no worries, its £96 I wasnt expecting, few Guinness on sunday

    That'll be the answer, you didn't have so many months in which to pay. ;)

    The original form should have the details of which months you were due to pay.
