Sorry if this is the wrong place to post.
I want to have a peek at my credit report and was thinking of using noodle.

I have gone on this site and its asked for all the usual details but then it asks for my debit/credit card details, even though it says no payments will be taken. Is this genuine?

They are alright(ish), you do get an entirely free peek at their version of your credit file. They want your card details to confirm your ID, and so that as and if you succumb to their marketing emails, they can charge you for the extra services. You just need to ignore these emails and they won't charge you.

Yes, it is genuine, it uses your credit card details as a way of confirming your identity.

If you go ahead, I think it confirms that no amount will be taken from your card (so long as you don't sign up to one of their other services, like the credit score).

If you owe anyone anything, even from years ago, think twice.
The site will join all the dots up to your new location and the phone will be ringing within the hour with debt collectors.

If the OP's on the Elec Roll and past lenders wanted to get hold of him they would find him anyhow just by looking on his report.

Thankfully I don't owe anything apart from my mortgage which is and always has been up to date.
