Changed mind - Online sale

Hi,
purchased and paid for a dslr camera online. Hasn't been received yet, but I do not want to go ahead with the sale.
Due to distance selling regulations, I'm sure I can return for a refund, once the camera is in my possession, but can I cancel the sale prior to receiving the camera?
Thanks.

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

Page 22 of the OFT's guide to the DSRs says...Can a consumer cancel an order before they receive the goods or where goods are lost in transit?
3.35 Yes. Where the DSRs give consumers rights to cancel, this right is unconditional. If consumers cancel before they have received the goods you must refund the total price of the goods, including any delivery charges. Consumers who have cancelled under the DSRs may refuse to accept delivery of the goods. Refusal in such a situation cannot be treated as a breach of contract.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
Have emailed the company and asked that confirmation of refund is by email reply. Hopefully it will go smoothly. The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.0 -
They can however take 30 days to refund.0
