any suggestions for an online quote for my elderly parents who both have pre-existing heart conditions? best I have had was £500 and I nearly had a heart attack myself

Try flexicover.com but make sure that they declare ALL medical conditions, even minor ones. You can fill out a questionaire online and it gives an instant quote. I have to say that I havn't made a claim from them so I don't know how well they perform if you're unlucky enough to have to do this.
