RAC Insurance

I got an email from RAC that if I take out my car insurance with them I will get a card with £50 to buy petrol.

Since their quote is £188 and my renewal quote is £166 I think I will go with RAC, unless there is a catch somewhere.

Is there?

You need to check the policy details before you buy!

RAC have some differences from normal policies:

eg. DOC cover is granted only to the main driver (irrespective of whether or not the main driver is the policyholder)

eg. NCD is only accepted from AND only earned by the main driver (again irrespective of whether or not that is the policyholder)

I will be the main and only driver and have no intention of driving other cars.

If you are happy with RAC (really BISL), then you may be better off getting cashback rather than this card. (Currently £60.60 at topcashback)
