Set up a DD to Santander E-Saver £1
Then Setup DD to Tescos Online Saver £1

Are not the above two standing orders ? Is that enough to satisfy a banks DD requirements for rewards? Will that be ok for santander as well?

I'd say they were DDs rather than SOs, considering it says "DD" in the post :)

Not if you do as suggested and set up DDs

    yes

Technically yes but you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't use cashback-generating DDs there.

These two accounts are unusual in that they allow direct debits to be set up to fund the accounts.

  • Thanks for trying to make this DD confusion clear.

How do you set up DD at halifax or any bank to pull money from another bank? There appears to be no such option. (I believe only utilities can set up a DD)

Have you tried to open either account as stated in the posts that you quoted this very afternoon at 1:35pm?

Belief is such a dangerous thing sometimes, and makes you not see the wood for the trees. May be this one helps https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4168667

I will try to open a Tesco account and try. (I have tried other high street banks)
