But even if it is in his contract that page says: "A deduction can’t reduce your pay below the National Minimum Wage rate, even if you’ve agreed to it."
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Yes, my own car. I did this job for a different company where I had to get my own business insurance alongside my own car insurance. The extra cost - £14 for the whole year.
I have a quote from my own insurance company for 12months business insurance for £28 for for 12 months. I went to the manager and asked 'If I can get business insurance for 12months at £28/QUOTE]

Are you sure this business insurance covers you for takeaway deliveries as the majority of regular policies specifically exclude this type of use. Insurance to cover takeaway delivery work is difficult to find and very expensive.

Yes it does. The first job directed me. This is whats confusing. How can one delivery job have you buy your own B.I for so little and the next job take so much more. I was stopped by police in last job who were checking for business insurance outside work and all checked out so its a mystery. But it's interesting what you say about it being difficult and expensive as this backs up what present job are doing. Who knows! After saying that, how would you have so many food delivery companies if B.I is so difficult to get.

Trust me, it'll be in his contract.

Also personal property you have to pay out your wages for, extra petrol, phone credit. Remember they can't dismiss you for failing to use your personal property for work, but it'll sure make your job harder.

    Spot on! .

Business insurance isn't difficult to get.......just that most business insurances on regular policies specifically exclude takeaway delivery.

Most drivers for takeaway businesses operate without proper cover.

I did takeaway delivery for 1 night. Came home with nearly £45 (but £8 of that was tips so not guaranteed). Spent nearly £20 on petrol and traveled 90 miles doing a 5 hour shift.

You wouldn't think it but I was knackered after all that driving.
