    sorry - another point- when you ask for the quote for laying the path / patio, ask them exactly what they will do. I find some people are very vague then do the cheapest option when I was expecting a better base etc.- jo

    When I had my garden made over I found standard builders much cheaper than anyone with landscape gardener in the name. Prices will also vary where you are, the firm I used specialise in maintenance for landlords very quick and reliable but obviously Don't have any idea about planting schemes etc but I can do that myself.

    For the patio you we find the cost of the tiles might not matter too much as the cost of labour, material and skip hire is the larger part.

    Are you sure unless you are planning a raised patio they will need to dig down for the hard core.

    :D I emptied the side bed to make the top bed that I now want to pave over - if that makes sense. Now to put it all back where it came from...:rotfl::rotfl:
