They are still very well, alive and kicking.... The difference is they quality and traffic strategies have changed. You dont need to be affiliated with any big companies as there are loads of individual and network vendors who offer commissions on their products.
If you are serious about affiliate marketing then get a wordpress site with your own domain from godaddy or anywhere. Get your hosting from a place that does one click installs of wordpress.
Then go and find a theme that doubles as a blog and website theme but the best of all for affiliate marketing is optimise press but that may be more than you need when starting but once you get to know more about making money in this space then you will see how the additional features are beyond amazing and viola! a site and set up ready for the life of an affiliate marketer.... DO NOT use any of the wix or those things as in the long term they are a huge waste of time for what you are doing.
Engaging your target market and traffic are a whole other ball game! Good luck!!0 -

However you decide to go, make sure you get your domain name separate from your hosting. You never want all your eggs in one basket.
Wordpress is dead easy to use so I would recommend that platform.
Google Godaddy promo codes and you will find the latest money off voucher to buy your domain.
