My son and a few friends booked a holiday recently but a few have dropped out, so now none of them can go as they would have to find more money, they cancelled the trip today with the holiday company but they were told they would get nothing back PLUS they would have to find the rest of the money to pay for the flights...does this sound right? The woman on the phone told them it's all in the small print, should I be querying this?
Thanks

could be right. They need to read what they signed up to. The chances are the flights will be booked and paid for by the agent and will be non-refundable although they may be able to get some taxes back
Depending on how far in advance they were cancelling and what the terms state re the rest.
The lead passenger is the one they will chase0
