Need some ideas for school dress up day on Friday please

My 2 daughters have a dress up day on Friday for comic relief and the theme is the 80's. My youngest is going in her Kermit the frog outfit but my older daughter (11) hasn't any suitable outfits. Anyone have any ideas that wont cost too much and im able to buy accessories etc before Friday? All ideas welcomed :)

legwarmers, leotard or leggings/slouch top, and back-combed hair - voila :D ! the pound shops always seem to have neon legwarmers/fingerless gloves/tutus/hairbands etc.

80s - era of the new romantics. Fame. Ninja Turtles. Cyndi Lauper! puffball skirts and big hair! or punk and Goth. easy one that - all black clothes and lots of eyeliner!

All really easy to buy at the moment too, they have most of it in Claire's if it's within budget, and it's fashionable at the moment so she might actually get some wear out of it.

edit: They have legwarmers in the sale

Do you have a New Look or Primark near you? New Look still has their sale on, and my DD (also 11) can usually pick up women's size 6 or even 8 stuff in Primark -

Also recommend Primark. Claire's is far too expensive.

My first thought was Fame, you could even write it across a t-shirt (look at it on google images) & pair with some existing leggings, leg warmers (cut up a pair of long colourful socks if you have them/find them cheaper), wrist & headbands. Not many 11 year olds will know about Fame though.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood had those popular t-shirts in the 80's too. That would be very easy to knock up.

cheap white oversize t shirt with words "written" on in black marker, knotted on one hip with leggings, leg warmers and " big" hair would be an MSE option!:D

Oh dear, it's all coming back to me :o

OP, if you have a plain white vest you could print the letters out onto paper and put them underneath and trace through.
