I know I can ring and ask, but when I'm at work the days goes in a blur then when home, phones are closed, so thought I'd ask here. My child needs regular physiotherapy. All was well until 2 months ago and the paediatric physio team now only do 1 day a week at the hospital.
I can't keep taking one day a week off work in addition to her other appts too and trying to get later appts or early appts is a nightmare.
As a pre existing condition it's not covered on our medical insurance, but I'd be willing to pay. Is there a list somewhere or do I just ask our GP to make a private referral? Also any idea of a weekly cost.
Thanks in advance all.

At Spire private hospitals I think physio is about £28 per session for adults, not sure about for children though.
Best bet would be to call the local private hospital and ask them, they will probably want GP letter so they know what they are treating.0 -
Thank you, I will ring them. The cost could be lower than I imagined too, so looks like this could be the way to go instead of her missing so much school also. Thank you for your time it's much appreciated.0

My husband used to have physiotherapy privately from various physiotherapists; I think most of them work both for the NHS and in the private sector.0

Thanks, I need to look more at this, maybe ask her physio next week, if she can recommend someone. It's not been an issue before as wasn't weekly and able to go after school, now that's not available0 -
you can source a reputable private paediatric physiotherapist from the website of their governing association here;

I have private physio once a week at a cost of £29/hour.
I see it as investing in my body, if I didn't have the physio I know that I couldn't work the 37hrs/week I do now.
Small price to pay for a bit of freedom (and less pain).Unite Disability Champion & Equality Rep0 -
We had private physio for DD for a few months, it was at local private hospital and she had an 8 am appointment so she didn't miss school and I could get to work on time.Sell £1500

We have NHS physio, but DS has private OT once a week, at a cost of £35 for 45 minutes. She comes to our house once a week.
I found her details on the BAOT website (British Association of Occupational Therapists) There may be similar for Physio's.SPC #1813
