Hi
A little while a go i had low star and to try and correct matters i sold a low value item which i normally keep for car boot sales with free postage as i had 40 of the items and they were low priced and could be posted for second class stamp.
All went well I have sold 36 of the items without problem however yesterday i had a neutral feedback with the comment not new as described. now this item was sold on the 1st Feb and feedback left yesterday. No one has contacted me to say they were unhappy and the item was definitely new.
What would you do ? i was thinking of contacting the customer even after all this time to see it they wanted a refund but would i be better just leaving it go. not sure if they have left low stars as nothing showing yet and i know it can take a few days for the stars to show.

What was the item? And was it definitely brand new, as in you sourced the items direct from a wholesaler or manufacturer?====0

yes they were new i bought them wholesale they were scissors, i originally had 100 and had sold some at car boots and put the rest on ebay as they were low value and cheap to post to correct the low star issue. everyone else has been really happy with them ,
my seller dashboard now reads as follows:_
Item as described 4.83 0.00% (0)
Communication 4.92 0.00% (0)
Dispatch time 4.89 0.00% (0)
Postage and packaging charges 4.89 1.96% (1)0 -

Happened to me when i was trying to boost my feedback with a few low cost items not worth the hassle of listing.
One buyer left a neg saying 'not my colour' and trashed my stars. Items were £10 in shop - £1 off me.
But when i contacted her she offered to remove it for a fiver - which allowed me to get ebay to remove it.
Not so keen on low priced feedback boosters anymore

I also got my first neutral last week - and stars down to 4.9
I've been selling for about 5 years, 100% & 5/5 on all stars. I usually sell £50+ items, but had a box of 12 identical low-value items that I would make about £2 profit on each. They're new/sealed one-size-fits-all.
All buyers of the item have been happy & left positive fb apart from one neutral last week. Their feedback said "It's ok, a bit tight , but ok"
I was annoyed, but have decided to leave it and not add a response as it doesn't affect my 100% rating and will soon 'drop off' the first page of f/b.
However, very annoying when it happens, but as has been said above, it's only a neutral and not a neg, so just forget about it and move on.0 -

I'd probably leave a feedback reply and leave it at that. There is no harm contacting the customer though. Ask what the problem was and why they left feedback, before offering any refund.

If you check their other feedback, they may leave lots of neutrals and negs, or have just left for you and have a justifiable complaint.
In my experience of contacting buyers who randomly leave neutrals, they never reply anyway..0
