its so frustrating everyone says i more than fit the criteria EXCEPT Atos :(
The tribunal is an independant body, not connected with ATOS.

thanks for your replies and the link. problem is I DO fit the criteria for not being able to mobilise 100M, not being able to sit for 30mins also i meet the reaching and picking up criteria as well as the manual dexterity ones.

You say your mobility is restricted to 100m but don't forget to make it even more difficult to pass this test the tories introduced the imaginary wheelchair which the atos assessor can apply if they think you could use a wheelchair to mobilise even though you don't use one or haven't even got one!

The test for that in ESA is the inability to be able to carry out the following:

    4. Picking up and moving or transferring by the use of the upper body and arms.

    (a) Cannot pick up and move a 0.5 litre carton full of liquid.
    15 points
    (b) Cannot pick up and move a one litre carton full of liquid.
    9 points
    (c) Cannot transfer a light but bulky object such as an empty cardboard box.
    6 points

    5. Manual dexterity.

    (a) Cannot either:
    (i) press a button, such as a telephone keypad; or
(ii) turn the pages of a book with either hand.
    15 points

  • The ESA questions are too vague, for example can someone clarify if 'picking things up or moving them' is off the floor or on a table there is a HUGE difference in these capabilities.

Read _all_ of the descriptor - carefully.
    Every single word counts.
In this case 'Picking up and moving or transferring by the use of the upper body and arms.'
Only the upper body and arms is involved - this is not a test of knees, ankles, balance, ...

It's picking up and moving an item you can do without any bending - either from a seated or a standing position.
(You do not have to be able to do both)
