Do you know if you are you allergic or irritated?
Surprisingly my eczematous skin is fine with Value/ Smartprice powder and with supermarket own brand powders but have a nightmare with some of the branded products, I guess because they are more concentrated.
My skin has been massively less reactive since quitting all sulphate surfactants (most commercial shower gel/ shampoo), these thin and damage the skin barrier so 'pre-sensitise' the skin. Have you tried this?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
In my experience, persil non bio is best for sensitive skin. Cheapest to buy in large 70 wash packs from asda or Tesco.
Other tips - use about 1/2of the suggested dose. You'll know if you are not using enough if your dark wash comes out with white smudges on. Don't use fabric conditioner, use a splash of white vinegar instead. Cheaper and much better for sensitive skin.
As the previous poster said, cut out soap, shower gel and bubble bath in order to help your skin too. I use e45 cream as make up remover, aveeno cream as moisturiser, store brand baby oil in the bath and e45 wash as soap. All used on much smaller quantities than the 'recommended' amount, especially the soap.0 -
I use Tesco non bio.0

Thanks guys, I will try your suggestions. You will laugh when I tell you, that its not me that has sensitive skin, it's my dog! She breaks out in itchy lumps and the vet suggested I change my washing powder to see if it would make a difference. Although she's not wearing clothes, she is in contact with us all the time and her bedding gets washed in normal Bold liquid.
Will report back.0 -
Method works for us!0

Another thumbs up for Persil non bio, my husband has sensitive skin and this is the only product I can use, even other brands of non bio affect him.0

We use Waitrose own brand sensitive liquid - it doesn't have a strong smell either, which I can't stand.0

You might try changing her food too, some owners report a raw or at least grain free diet improves or even cures skin complaints and allergies. Most dry dog foods are packed with grains/ cereals which increase systemic inflammation and mess with immune function.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
We are slowly working through each possible cause. The vet has suggested blood tests which need to be sent to France at a cost off lots of ££££'s. I think we might have to bite the bullet and have it done.0
