Stop light on a peugeot 206
I have a Peugeot 206. In December I had a car accident and went to drive my car for the first time in 3 weeks after all the snow had cleared, driving was fine but when I started to brake I heard a knocking sound coming from the back of the car and the stop light came on. I had a MOT done on the car a month before the accident and it passed, so I asked a friend who was a mechanic and he said the MOT was dodgy and the car wasn't fixable. Since then I've asked other people, the first thing I done was top up the brake fluid but that doesn't explain the knocking sound, another person said it could be the brake disks needed replacing as the brakes still work but just make a weird noise, can any one confirm this is more than likely the problem? Thankyou

Most likely going to be either the discs or the wheels possibly skimming on the discs.0

The STOP light is often a sensor fault on the 206. The noise could be a coincidence.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

Is the noise coming from the engine? Noises can sometimes be in a totally different place to where you think they come from.
No end of people saying they have a noise from a corner and it turns out to be a different one.
