IB to ESA only if you claimed IB since 31.01.11??

Options
Hi all, I have been trying to help a relative who has been on Incapacity Benefit since August 2000 and now has to be converted to ESA. She has been waiting since Jan 13 for an answer, rang up today and they have told her she has been placed in the WRAG group for 1 year. I have just been looking online to see if she has to re-claim her housing benefit now, or if it will just continue as normal, I can't find any info on this, can anyone help?

Also whilst looking I came across this link
http://www.youreable.com/forums/showthread.php/2556-ESA-for-new-claimants-only-some-can-stay-on-IB

It states on here that if you have claimed Incapacity Benefit since before 31.01.11 you do not have to be transferred to ESA, and if you have already done so, you can be transferred back. Does anyone know if this is true, as she shouldn't of had to go through all this, if she was able to stay as she was.

Thanks in advance
