New PC question

Options
Just bought this PC

Medion Akoya PC8585 Desktop PC Intel Core i5 3330 30GHz 6GB RAM 1TB HDD WLAN Integrated Graphics Windows 8

I thought it would have a wireless receiver for the internet, but I don't think it does, I don't want to install a card, isn't there something I can plug in a USB port.

thanks for any help

WLAN in the model number suggests it has (providing you have a wifi internet router for it to connect to).

Thats the least of your troubles you got Windows 8!;)

    Only joking.........or am I?

When you set up windows it will detect the wireless card and prompt for your SSID and password ( usually stamped on the bottom of your router.
If not you could always use the Ethernet interface with or without a pair of home-plugs depending on the distance between router and PC.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Look in Device Manager for info on whether a wireless card is already installed. If not you can use any USB wireless dongle that will run on Windows 8.
But an internal card is a much better option, it takes 5 minutes to install (if not already fitted).
