Just bought this PC
Medion Akoya PC8585 Desktop PC Intel Core i5 3330 30GHz 6GB RAM 1TB HDD WLAN Integrated Graphics Windows 8
I thought it would have a wireless receiver for the internet, but I don't think it does, I don't want to install a card, isn't there something I can plug in a USB port.
thanks for any help

Thats the least of your troubles you got Windows 8!;)
Only joking.........or am I?
When you set up windows it will detect the wireless card and prompt for your SSID and password ( usually stamped on the bottom of your router.
If not you could always use the Ethernet interface with or without a pair of home-plugs depending on the distance between router and PC.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Look in Device Manager for info on whether a wireless card is already installed. If not you can use any USB wireless dongle that will run on Windows 8.
But an internal card is a much better option, it takes 5 minutes to install (if not already fitted). No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Set everything up on my new medion pc, it does have wi fi in the form of a Realtek RTL8188CU wireless connector in one of the USB rear ports, but it is very slow taking me ages to download from the Internet, is there anything I could do to speed thinks up?
