Ikea discontinuing kitchen style half way through installation - rights?

Hi,
Hopefully someone has some experience of our situation.
In January this year we ordered a Tidaholm kitchen from Ikea, the design was done in store by one of their staff. We were installing this ourselves.
At the time of ordering a number of door fronts were not available - we were told these would be here mid February. Fair enough.
In February we were told they would be with us in March, there were problems in the supply chain.
I have just now come off the phone with Ikea where I have just been told that the doors have now been completely discontinued and will never be stocked again in Ikea stores.
They can order them from the direct from the manufacturer and they will be delivered 'at some point in August'.
I was told if this delay was not acceptable, we can return out existing fronts and swap for a different kitchen style of the same cost.
The problem is we now have an near complete installed kitchen with no door fronts. We would have to dismantle it if we wanted to change to a different kitchen style (end panels, filler pieces, etc etc), this would be a huge inconvenience and expense
So, we are left with a 7 month wait from when we originally ordered (if their date is to believed) to get our doors, or taking the whole kitchen to pieces so we can exchange to a kitchen style we do not even want.
I really dont know what to do here.
Thanks for reading anyway.

What do you mean "we were told", verbally or in writing? Did you have an understanding you would be contacted when the doors came into stock and would purchase and pay then OR were the doors ordered and paid for, just waiting to be delivered?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

How many do you need, and what sizes? Some are showing in stock at various stores on their website.0

Hi Guys.
It is the standard Tidaholm 60x70 door fronts - we need 6 iirc. Everything else is available.
Number 900.60.301
We were told verbally at time of order, and a provided with a printout of the out of stock items we needed to order. This had a date written on (in pen, not printed) of Feb 17th.
We did not pay for these items as the Ikea system will not allow you to pay for things they do not have in stock.0 -
There is a pre-order system for out of stock items but it's not widely advertised, was that offered or used? TBH I think you took a risk buying and installing half a kitchen, with the benefit of hindsight that was not the best idea. Way forward would be to get the doors from a different store or check eBay regularly.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
