ADD..... Is it covered under the DDA?

As the title of the thread asks....

Is ADD (Attention Deficit Disprder) covered under the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act)?

Thanks :)

  • The DDA has been superseded by the Equality Act. Few conditions are specifically covered by the Act, the definition is based on how it affects the individual as opposed to the diagnosis itself. The definition is "a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities."
  • Ahh I was not aware of this. I have only recently relieved the diagnosis, and am wondering what my rights are in the work place if anything "bad" were to happen.
