However, instead of venting on here about the sheer injustice of it all, or firing off petitions to Number 10, I just make my own!!!! Job done!!!
I can recommend it.
I cant get mine to stay risen..........:whistle:0 -
Wow this thread has deviated from my original post somewhat !
Anyway to answer questions:- yes I am stupid but my intelligence is irrelavent to my original vent.
Yes I could make my own fruit salad but by the time I've bought strawberrys, apples, bananas, oranges, cherrys, plums, pears etc. I've spent about the same as buying 5 fruit salad pots plus I'm so clumsy in the kitchen I'm likely to cut off my own thumb preparing it.0 -

:rotfl:
I wouldn't find the time to prepare it even if I wanted to!!
And if you bought all the fruit and are anything like me, you wouldnt fancy a fruit salad after buying the fruit yourself....Happy0 -
Melon is cheap and doesn't discolour like many fruits. I do know what you mean because I can't get stir fry mixes without bean sprouts in any more, I hate them because they go slimy so quickly.
Just get some of the fruits frozen, you can get mixed berries and mixed tropical ones. Farmfoods is the cheapest for berries at £1 for 450g, Sainsbury Ocado/ Waitrose do tropical sans melon. Then add fresh, canned or dried, of those only the fresh need much preparing. Honestly it's as healthy if not healthier than the premade stuff that has all sorts of dubious chemicals and gases added to prolong life.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Pine apple Melon and mango are cheap fillers for this type of fruit salads
Invest around £6 at the beginning of the week and you make and have a fruit salad any day of the week0 -
The melon thing annoys me as well as I have son who loves fruit but is allergic to melon and pomegranate which also crops up a lot in M & S in salads and fruit salads. Sometimes it is just not practical to make stuff at home and do we really have to justify every single purchase and then resort to name calling!! I'm off to find a less controversial topic than melons!!0
