    Fair point, I didn't post figures as I was more interested as to whether the separate accounts could be used in theory.

    We both have good credit ratings, no credit card debts or loans (apart from student). Joint income is circa £60-65k and we are looking at an LTV of 90% on a £240k property (so a little out of reach of doing solely on my partners income).

    Fair point, I took the view that any other issues would have been laid out alongside this barrier..

    Bang goes Halifax then. Bankrupt is an auto decline these days even if 20 years ago.
