Should I freeze Gas prices now?

British Gas has offered to freeze prices of my gas usage until July 2014. Does this seem a good idea?

I think most people who are involved in the energy industry envision higher prices in the future. So fixing current prices would seem like a good idea.

Are you happy that BG's offer is as good as you can get with anyone else? Does their offer allow you to leave terminate the contract without penalty? There are plenty of options out there that will allow you to compare this offer with other companies. I would shop around.

Welcome to the forum. The question is not whether to fix, but at what price you fix?
The cheap fixes have long gone, about last October was the time to do this.
Suggest you check on the comp sites for your current best tariff.
