Condensation in House

Does anyone have any "cheap" tips to stop condensation?

We have double glazing and every morning there is alot of condensation on the windows and around the wall/ceiling near the windows (especially upstairs)

We do have a dehumidifier on during the day and the heating (controlled with Thermostatic Rad Valves) is off during the night.

The windows do not have trickle vents on them, only vents if you part open the window.

The condensation is causing mold around the walls and Ceiling too.

The house is insulated both in the walls and in the loft to current standards.

Thanks

To state the obvious, you need to improve the ventilation-and the cheapest way is opening some windows.
If it's excessive in the bedrooms and they are occupied, it's due to exhalation during the night. So cut back on the heavy breathing...

The condensation is caused by too much moisture in the atmosphere.

You need to ventilate more. This isparticularlyi portent in the bathroom and kitchen. If you don't have an extractor in the bathroom, you need to get one fitted and ensure its used. You need to run it as long as possible after using the shower or bath. If you dont have an extractor in the bathroom, make sure the window is open as long possible. Additionally you must keep the door shut after you have bathed or showered as this ensure the most air goes out of the window and not into the bedrooms.

With the kitchen, an extractor is ideal, but again open the window when cooking and use lids on pans.

Avoid drying clothes around the house.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

We live in Lancs and have to dry our clothes in the house in the winter!!

Fit Fans with Humidistats in the bathroom and kitchen if you dont have fans. You will get moisture in the air at highlevel, from showering, cooking, drying damp clothes etc etc. That can travel from room to room.

With Humidistat fans they will work when you switch them on, or the sensor picks up mosture in the air.
A thankyou is payment enough .
