possible loss of benefits

My daughter and her partner live together with their two young daughters. He is receiving Job seekers benefits and has been trying to get work for over a year. yesterday he was over the moon at actually going for an interview where he spent some time shadowing a current "employee" and discovered that this would be door to door selling currently for talk talk. The hours were 12.30 to 9.00pm and he was then told after numerous attempts to get a straight answer that this was a commission only job. With family to support he told them that it wouldnt be suitable for his circumstances. Whilst the manager interviewing him agreed and said that in his position he wouldnt take it either he is now worried that the Job Center may impose sanctions on him for not accepting the job. I believe that this could be loss of benefits for a period of between 6m and 3yrs.
Does anybody have any advice or information on this please.

Commission only jobs are illegal unless there is a clause in the contract that means any money earnt for a set number of hours meets minimum wage for those hours. Someone asked a similar question yesterday so if you do a search on my posts or this forum you should find it easily.
Yes the Jobcentre could consider sanctions for not taking a job offered on the this basis but only if the job meets the minimum wage requirements as above."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
