    it seems to me the use of plastic bags by Sainsbury's is for the convenience of their picking and delivery staff - not mine. .

    As a former Sainsbury's picker, I disagree. Its actually considerably more time consuming to bag things as we shop, rather than simply placing the items in the boxes.

    That said, at the time the customer did have an option for requesting that bags weren't used on their order. Could have been removed, not sure as it's been a good couple of years since I was an online picker.

    Worth mentioning that although I still work for Sainsbury's, my views are my own not the company's etc etc.
