1. Bought hot water bottles rather than putting electric blanket back on the bed during this predicted 10 day cold spell.
2. Turn radiators off in all but the sitting room and the bedroom. Closed the doors in the other rooms.
3. Turned heating down 1 degree
4. Shortened the time heating is on in the morning by 30 minutes.

OH just found out he's getting a 2% payrise from April :T All good because we weren't sure he was due one since he only started in August. Glad he's made the cutoff

That's excellent news! :T
I haven't had a pay rise since 2009. Doubt we will get one this year either
Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
I'm not spending any money today - NSD number 5 in March

That's it - but I'd say that's a very good thing. No walking today as am sneezing and shivering a lot today so want to rest up rather than run myself down.0 -
Hi to all,
Today's MS activity:
*Ironing - switched off for final item.
*All meals as per March meal plans.
*Rubber pork & veggies prepped for stir-fry & noodles tonight.
*Last of rubber pork is in slow cooker making a stew for tomorrow night.
*Cut out vouchers for 2 for 1 entry into stately homes over March/April - send all the southern ones to my sister.
*Pay credit card bill in full - only gets used for budgetted purchases so I can collect John Lewis vouchers to save up for presents, etc.
*Did surveys - only a couple of Tolunas but a fair few Onepolls this morning.
*Mr foxgloves needed car for work on 'my car' day, so am grounded & thus having an unplanned NSD!
That's it for me today. Had actually planned to de-gunk the pond, but once again, it was totally frozen over, so am saving that delightful slimey job for tomorrow!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for starting us off Candy.
La e - Good luck! & congrats on the pay rise for your DH.
I'm not feeling particularly great today - work is stressing me out big time & I just want to jack it all in!! No can do though so it's a case of biting my tongue today...
Today I have/will:-- Made use of free water at work
- B/L/D from stores
- HM porridge pot for brekkie
- Log calories on free app
- Staying in for my lunch break to avoid spending
- Dinner from meal plan - Veggie night, pasta with greens, garlic & chilli
- Checked postcode lottery
- Charged phone at work
- Heating off as long as possible & on low when needed - ended up using a hot water bottle last night to save turning the heating up more so might do the same again tonight. I assume this is cheaper anyway! Managed to avoid putting the heating on at all this morning as the hot water bottle was still warm

- Check online banking
- Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
- Enter some comps
- Do at least 1 survey, need to get back into this
- Declutter & flylady
- Make use of TKD membership
- Read Martin's email
- Get through the working day without walking out, argh!

Hello All
Hi to TimetoRebuild! Good luck with your mission!
Checked my financials today, glad to see the efforts I have been making on CC1 have now reflected in a lower min repayment by £40 a month already. I certainly wont just be making the minimum but its heartening to feel that should we need to cut back one month, we have already 'saved' £60 that used to have to go on the CC. Make sense?
Today has been a NSD bar petrol which will last the next few days. I did however manage to get petrol at 2p cheaper per litre than has been available the last week, so thats a good move in the right direction.
Tonights dinner will be from the freezer & will also provide lunch for OH tommorow.
11 days till OH gets paid again. I cant wait as we have a much easier month coming up, and should be able to pay down a good chunk. My target is to get to £5K this coming pay check.
I have also had a very low cal eating day due to feeling very bloated recently from too many carbs. Just soup and salad today, but its all free at work anyway. So, hopefully my thinking is by being a little more frugal in what I eat I will be able to wear clothes that I already own instead of having to buy new ones. So kinda money saving
Think thats all today!
